A Cosmic Drama

(photo taken by Hannah, my cute 2 y/o daughter)
Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades,
Or loose the belt of Orion?
Can you bring out constellations in its season?
Or can you guide the Great Bear with its cubs?
                                    Job 38:31-32

…in Christianity God is not a static thing - not even a person - but a dynamic, pulsating activity, a life, almost a kind of drama. Almost, if you will not think me irreverent, a kind of dance.                                             C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

Something far beyond the shadow
Of a bursting supernova-
A mysterious frequency resonating,
Not hollow but a holy Shape is surging
At infinite speed.
Passed the chambers of the south,
Radiation-driven Andromeda
And the dark-faced Electra.
Entropy bound, gravity-darkening.
Fall down! Fall down!
One movement of the dance is enough
The Wounded World watches by chance!
